Carole and Alex came from London to Ljubljana, where we met and made some pre-wedding photos. We were on the same frequency right away. They are special people, very pleasant and open. It’s a real fun to be with them.
Regarding to the energy of the couple and our talks about their day, I was expecting a great wedding, but it was even better I thought it could be. They decided to get married in Musella near Verona in Italy. Traveling there before, they were amazed by the place and decided to bring their relatives and friends there for the most important day of their life. When I came there, I realized why they love that place. It’s just gorgeous. A top quality B&B winery on incredible location, with very delicious wine.
I thought that I’ll shoot only the wedding, but then I stayed in Musella for 4 days. Everything was so intimate and sincere. I actually became a part of the family. Alex’s mum calls me ‘third son’ and Alex is really like a brother to me.
First day we stayed in Musella. In the evening we went in the village in the neighborhood to taste some original Italian pasta and good wine. On the second day was a civil wedding – ceremony in Soave, an old town near Musella. I met Gloria from ‘I will Verona‘, a very good wedding organizer, which introduced us to the mayor of Soave. The ceremony was only for close relatives. So warm. Then we had delicious lunch in ‘Il Drago’ in Soave. After that we returned to Musella and in the evening went to see ‘La Boheme’ – classical opera in the historical ‘Arena di Verona‘. Unforgettable!
