I’m Samo Rovan, an international destination wedding photographer based in the heart of Europe. Also a speaker and photography mentor worldwide. An ex photojournalist, been working for several major newspapers in my country. An architect, active in the field of photography, architecture and design. I’m so happy to share my life with Romana, my love and muse, and two incredible kids. Beside my amazing clients the family is my everything.
As an artistic documentary storyteller, I’m renowned for my unique wedding photojournalistic style, which is passionate, fun, fresh, dynamic, but also aesthetic, emotional, sincere and warm. On the other hand, I enjoy hunting unusual and humorous situations on my own way. Complex compositions are my specialty. The purpose of my photography is to capture the genuine feelings that the bride, groom and their guests experience at a wedding. I believe a wedding is a celebration of life and love. It is a complex event filled with opportunities to photograph all aspects of life and embrace love as its best. To be able to tell the story of such a complex event, you need to be passionate about your own vision and believe that you are the best person to tell that story. Because of my belief I started ‘See The Big Picture Workshops’ to empower wedding photographers all around the world to improve their photography.
