Bled is a very well known destination in Slovenia. Its lake contains a tiny island in the middle with a charming church and breathtaking view of the Alps. In front of the church is a mighty staircase with 99 stairs. According to tradition, the groom has to carry his bride all the way up these stairs. Then the couple is supposed to ring the bell of wishes in order to have a successful marriage.
Nina and Luka, who mostly live abroad, decided to say their “YES” at this Slovenian pearl. The ceremony took place in Vila Bled – on a beautiful spot in the outside park.
After the ceremony, Luka took Nina without problems right to the top of the stairs. The bell was ringing loudly, which means their marriage should be great. It was a perfect wedding with their friends from all over the world, a lot of laughter and good wishes. Some emotions were added with capricious weather and the ride to the lake with “pletna boats”.
Bled is also known for its thermal qualities for health and Grand Hotel Toplice is everything you can wish for. The reception took place right there. It was great!
