Citlalli Rico y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de dar un taller colectivo en españa en 2011 y nos identificamos mucho por nuestro enfoque hacia la fotografía y por la pasión por el fotoperiodismo en las bodas. Es por ello que decidimos comenzar esta serie de talleres internacionales que nos permitirá compartir ese gran amor por la composición, tanto simple como compleja y la importancia de comprender que en cada evento que documentamos hay una o varias historias esperando a ser contadas.
Pasión por el fotoperiodismo es un taller enfocado a fotógrafos de bodas interesados en mejorar sus conocimientos y habilidades para capturar momentos y contar historias.
Se tratarán temas como procesos de trabajo y pensamiento, reglas básicas de composición y fotoperiodismo, utilización y reconocimiento de los diferentes tipo de luz disponible y como trabajar con ella y se realizarán ejercicios prácticos de composición, shooting, edición y revisión de portafolios.
In 2011 Citlalli Rico and I had the opportunity to give a collective workshop together in Spain and we realized we have the same approach to photography and our love for photojournalism on weddings. That’s why we decided to begin with this international workshop series, that will make possible to share our love for basic and complex compositions and the importance of telling a story everytime we’re documenting an event.
‘Pasión por el fotoperiodismo’ (passion for photojournalism) is a workshop for wedding photographers who want to get better on capturing moments and story telling. We’ll aboard topics as thought process and workflow, basic composition rules, photojournalism, how to recognize and work with the light that is available and we’ll also have exercises, shootings and portfolio reviews.
The workshop will take part from 7th till 8th of August 2012 in Cancun.
