The day we’ve all been waiting for arrived – the wedding day in Musella near Verona in Italy. It started with good breakfast, nice swim and a lot of expectations. The crew started preparing tables and decoration. The wedding couple was running around and soon ended in their rooms for last preparations. Alex finished his speech and Carole started with hairdressing and makeup. Everything was very spontaneous and fun. Then wedding guests gathered on the yard. As Carole is from Scotland, some of them were wearing kilts with all original accessories. Kilts are really something special.

I was jumping from Carole to Alex and tried to capture as many interesting moments as possible. There was so much happening, but the moment I’ll never forget was, when Carole’s mum helped her with the dress and at the same time on the floor Carole’s brother in law changed his son’s dippers. I was so happy, when I captured this special moment (the photo later got a Fearless Award and was also proclaimed as Photo of November 2011).

Alex and most of the guests moved to the place near the pool, where the vows were supposed to happen. Carole’s dad took the bride. It was an intimate ceremony, full of positive emotions. Very sincere and warm. After that we returned to the yard and the celebration began. Congratulations, good food and drinks, hot weather and cool energy made a special afternoon. I ‘kidnapped’ the bride and groom for a while to make some portraits. All the guests took part in group photos.

The dinner was served and followed by toasting, speeches. The first dance was an introduction into an extra party on the grass. Yeah, it was wild. Everybody were jumping around, dancing and enjoying this fabulous day late into the night.

What a wedding!!! Four days of pure enjoyment! Thanks Carole and Alex for your friendship, confidence and enthusiasm for my photography. I wish you all the best and really hope to meet you soon.
